    Biographies

    Garrett Johnson | Law Offices of Garrett M. Johnson

    Garrett Johnson is a member of the Bars of New York and the District of Columbia specializing in entertainment and tax law.  Currently representing a cross spectrum of creative talent and industry participants including musicians, authors, recording artists, composers, screenwriters, playwrights, record producers, artist management companies, independent film makers and record labels, Mr. Johnson is also active in the provision of music publishing administration services and the facilitation of Trademark applications, as well as general business formation.  Active with the Entertainment Law Forum of the American Bar Association, Past President of the California Copyright Conference (CCC), Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), the Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) and the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance (IGAA), Mr. Johnson speaks regularly on legal and business issues in the entertainment industry in a variety of venues.  Prior to entering private practice, he was an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel at the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, D.C., providing counsel to agency staff in legislative, personnel and intellectual property matters.  He received his A.B. in economics from Columbia University and J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.


    Charley Londoño | Counsel Plus Co. 

    Prior to practicing law, Charley was a music industry executive, having worked in the radio promotion departments of major label record companies (Arista, A&M, IRS, and MCA). He primarily practices in the areas of film, television, music, and new media. Charley counsels both companies and individuals regarding entertainment transactional issues. His practice concentrates in the protection, clearance, licensing and distribution of intellectual property rights for film, television, music, and varied digital platforms. Charley is a member of The State Bar of California and The Florida Bar.


    Tiara Guy | SoundExchange

    Tiara Guy serves as Associate Director of Marketing Operations for Industry Engagement at SoundExchange. In this role, Tiara leads SoundExchange’s Artist and Label outreach program, building and fostering key relationships within the music community.

    Tiara’s responsibilities include identifying unregistered creators and rights owners who have yet to claim the royalties they are entitled to through SoundExchange. She educates creators on how to maximize their digital performance royalty revenue by registering with SoundExchange and assists registered creators with their current accounts, including searching and claiming their recordings, tracking their catalog, and reviewing their digital royalty payments.

    Tiara brings a wealth of institutional knowledge to this role after having worked at SoundExchange in some capacity for more than a decade. She launched her career in the music industry working in SoundExchange’s Data Management department before transforming her expertise into Industry Engagement. Previously, Tiara served as an Outreach Representative and as a Senior Manager of Industry Relations Outreach.

    Tiara holds a B.A. in Media Arts and Design from James Madison University with a solid background in customer relations.

    Renee Jeske | Disney Music Group

    Renee manages the income tracking department of the Disney Music Group. The income tracking department services both the Walt Disney Company’s music publishing companies as well as its record labels. Renee has been on the board of the California Copyright Conference since 2013 and is its current president.
