President’s Message

    Message from the President

    Dear CCC Friends and Members,

We are so thankful for your support of the California Copyright Conference. The 2020-2021 season was an unprecedented year for our organization. As both our industry and our world faced the monumental COVID-19 crisis, the CCC found ourselves unable to hold our longstanding monthly events in person.

We spent the past year pivoting our interactions with our membership and audience from in-person gatherings to an all-new digital presentation, and, thanks to 2020-21 President Garrett Johnson, Esq., had a very successful year under the most trying of times. We were able to expand our membership worldwide via our digital panels, and will continue including our new friends outside Los Angeles in future CCC events.

As the world gradually begins to open once again, the CCC will be following the CDPH’s Guidance for Gatherings to determine when we return to in-person gatherings. Whether online or in person, the CCC will be bringing our members and colleagues a season of interesting and relevant webinar discussions.

Not only does CCC membership gain you access to learn from the industry’s top thinkers, creators and executives, but it brings an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals whether online or in person.

The CCC remains committed to remaining your most trusted source for the up-to-the-minute news regarding copyright and legal issues relevant to the industry. Information on our upcoming panels and events can be found by joining our email list or visiting the “Meetings” portion of our website.

If you or your company are not currently members of the California Copyright Conference, we hope this is the year you’ll decide to join us. We are working to bring brand new benefits and discounts to CCC members, in addition to the usual membership privileges and voting privilege  in our elections.

We look forward to seeing you, whether in person or in the digital realm, during the 2021-22 CCC season.

    Sincerely,

    Mara Kuge

    California Copyright Conference President 2021-2022
