Creators are also crossing lines of content by creating music, recipes, comedy, and more all for one account. Biographies
Kenneth D. Freundlich, Esq. | Founding Principal, Freundlich Law
In his 35 years of practice, Ken has primarily focused on resolving complex business, entertainment, and IP disputes and is renowned for representing individuals and companies with his pragmatic aggressiveness, relatability, business acumen, and ability to handle everything from everyday business disputes to complex, ground-breaking cases.
Ken is a seasoned litigator and trial counsel licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and California (among other courts) and has had notable successes in trials, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings in various settings ranging from California Labor Commission proceedings, to IFTA, Guild, and AAA/JAMS arbitrations, to Copyright Rate Court proceedings, to trial and appellate courts (including the United States Supreme Court). Ken is a well-known participant and moderator in panels concerning entertainment law issues.
Ken’s experience also includes a stint as the Executive Vice President of Atomic Pop, LLC, an early 2000’s internet-based record company (way ahead of its time) that sought to provide a platform to distribute entertainment content through digital media. At Atomic Pop, Ken was part of the company’s leadership team, navigating through complicated new media legal and business issues, acquisitions, strategic and financial planning, syndication, joint ventures and due diligence management.
Aaron Beaumont | Producer, Composer & Mix Engineer
Aaron Beaumont has co-written, produced, and mixed, hundreds of songs for other artists, including viral TikTok and YouTube hits collecting over a billion streams and a gold record. He was a finalist for the Roundabout Theatre Fred Ebb Award as a composer and lyricist for his first original musical, and currently serves as co-chair of the Carnegie Hill Concert Series, featuring leading chamber and New Music from around the globe. L.A. Weekly wrote that Aaron’s music brings “a new life to the ancient music-hall/pop piano-man tradition, with clear-headed songs of genuinely witty lyrical oomph and, most of all, a historically informed musical depth – all delivered with style, grace, wit and elan, of course.” He’s obsessed with pop music from Chopin to Nirvana and Tin Pan to Madonna.
Aaron serves as in-house producer / mix engineer for The Gregory Brothers / Schmoyoho, whose recent viral hits include It’s Corn, Chrissy Wake Up, Space Is Cool, Hypotenuse, and Muffin Time. Recent Gregory Brothers collaborators include Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Recess Therapy, Sneha, Jelly, TomSka, and Weird Al.
Karen Lieberman | Vice President, Sales and Digital, Disney Music Group
Karen Lieberman has been the Vice President of Sales and Digital at Disney Music Group for nearly eight years. In addition to her responsibility for commercial opportunities for Disney Music Group, including physical, digital, and streaming, she leads digital marketing efforts including social media, emerging technology, voice, and more.
Prior to joining DMG, Karen held commerce and digital strategy roles at Kobalt Music, Sony Music, and the RCA Music Group. She has a B.A. from the University of Maryland, and lives in Los Angeles.
John M. Begakis, Esq. | Managing Partner, AltView Law Group, LLP
John is a co-founder and managing partner of AltView Law Group, LLP, a new media focused, full-service entertainment law firm. After earning his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 2008, and his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2011, John began his career representing early YouTube personalities and other emerging new-media talent. Today, John’s transactional practice includes representing talent clients and production companies in both new and traditional media projects, and representing technology companies that service various ancillary aspects the entertainment industry. John’s litigation practice focuses on IP infringement matters, as well as labor and corporate disputes. John also teaches fashion and influencer law at Southwestern University.
