Thomas Golubić is a four-time Emmy-nominated music supervisor, DJ and twice Grammy-nominated record producer. His music supervision credits include the AMC series “Better Call Saul,” “Breaking Bad,” “Halt” and Catch Fire” and “The Walking Dead”, the Netflix series “Grace and Frankie” and “Love,” the Amazon series “Sneaky Pete,” the Showtime series “Ray Donovan,” and the HBO series “Six Feet Under” among many other film and television projects. In 2017 Thomas became the president of the Guild of Music Supervisors, the same year he was nominated for the first Outstanding Music Supervisor Emmy Award for his work on Better Call Saul. He received subsequent nominations again in 2019 and 2020. The Guild twice awarded Thomas with Best Music Supervision in a Television Drama for his work on Breaking Bad.

Thomas was twice nominated for Grammy awards for producing volumes 1 and 2 of the Six Feet Under soundtrack album, and with former partner Gary Calamar was responsible for the use of Sia’s “Breathe Me” in the final scene of the series. It is considered one of the most memorable uses of music in television and launched Sia’s music career in America. Thomas is also responsible for producing four soundtrack albums for The Walking Dead, the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul soundtracks, and has assembled various remix projects for EMI-Capitol Records and MGM, including reinterpretations of Peggy Lee, The Beach Boys, Henry Mancini’s Pink Panther theme and EMI’s Christmas Classics remix compilation ‘Merry Mixmas’.

Thomas’ formative years, musically speaking, were spent as a DJ, music programmer and on-air host for tastemaker LA radio station KCRW 89.9 FM. After ending his 10-year residency at KCRW, he turned his attention to music production and live audio/video DJ work. He formed The Arbiters, a music collective creating mash-up music and video productions, free-released two EPs, and created audio and video mash-up productions for clients including Google, YouTube, Microsoft and Levi’s.

Thomas has also become known as an innovative club DJ spinning broadly eclectic music sets, often with live synchronized visuals. His SYNCHRONIZE re-score project, featuring live DJ re-scores of classic films has been featured at the Sundance Film Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Luminato Festival in Toronto, Dubrovnik Film Festival, U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, various residencies in Los Angeles, and has been profiled on Turner Classic Movies.

Jennifer Pyken has overseen the music for dozens of movies and over 1,000 episodes of television. Her skillful sonic curation efforts have been recognized by her peers, she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Supervision and won the Guild of Music Supervisors award for Best Drama for “This Is Us.” Her credits include “Just Beyond,” “This Is Us,” “Workaholics,” :Game Over, Man!,” “The Package,” “The Healing Powers of Dude,” “The Neighbors,” “Adam Devine’s House Party,” “Betas,” “Smallville,” “One Tree Hill,” “Felicity,” “Alias,” “Lost,” “Las Vegas,” “Boston Public,” “Summerland,” “Life Partners,” “The Perfect Score,” “Lush,” “The Last Seduction,” “Heavy,” MTV’s “Undressed” and “Happy Gilmore.” Currently she’s music supervising “The Way Home” for Hallmark.

Carla Downs | VP, TV/Film Sync Marketing, Downtown Music Services

With over a decade of sync licensing experience, Carla Downs serves as Vice President of TV/Film Sync Marketing for Downtown Music Services. In this role, she is responsible for securing creative licensing opportunities for the entire Downtown roster. She works closely with Film and Television studios, streaming platforms and music supervisors to create and facilitate both sync placements and original writing opportunities.  Carla’s work includes contributions to projects such as Joker, Spider-Man: Far From Home, “Central Park,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “This Is Us” and “Insecure” among many others. Before joining Downtown, Carla spent 2 years at BMG as Sr. Director, TV/Film Marketing and 8 years at Warner Music Group.

Julian Drucker | Independent Music Supervisor

Julian Drucker began his music supervision career at Deep Cut Music under Maggie Phillips, with whom he worked on numerous award-winning series and films, including “The Handmaid’s Tale” (Hulu), “Homecoming“ (Amazon),
“Legion“ (FX) and Isn’t It Romantic (New Line). At the start of 2019, Julian became the first employee at Yay Team Productions, led by Amanda Krieg Thomas, where he worked as a Music Coordinator on a wide array of critically acclaimed TV and film projects, such as “American Horror Story” (FX), “Pose” (FX), “Big Mouth” (Netflix) and movie musical The Prom (Netflix). Now as an independent Music Supervisor, Julian has worked on various indie films, Sundance Film Festival’s 2022 trailer, “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World“ (ABC), “Love Island” (CBS), “9-1-1 Lone Star” (FOX) and “The Great Muslim American Road Trip” (PBS).

Originally from New York City, Julian grew up with two professional string players as parents and has been surrounded by wonderful music from an early age. He studied musical theater composition at Yale and has written music and lyrics for two full-length musicals, both of which have been given workshops and performances in theaters across the country. Julian recently released an album – Here. Now. by Charivari – comprised of meditation-inspired electronic music for a San Francisco-based contemporary dance ensemble, which was given six performances at the Exploratorium in November 2021. Julian is an active composer in a variety of genres, writing regularly for pop artists, classical ensembles and film and video game scores.
