“BEYOND THE STREAM: THERE ARE MORE PATHS FOR YOUR MUSIC THAN YOU THINK”
With the change in the business model for music creator promotion and fanbase building on Social Media, there seems to be more “grey” area than ever. Quantifying how to gain traction, engage and grow the fanbase and turn “likes” into streams seems to have an unknown formula. Publishing companies and sync agents have a more direct and measurable system and platform to sync music to commercials, films, series and video games, which in turn creates revenue and visibility for the composer, songwriter, artist and their music. Branding deals for products are also huge platforms for music creators to gain visibility and substantial revenue for their work. In a market filled with so many talented independent songwriters and composers that haven’t gained traction with the label or film studio system, the publishing, sync world is a viable future for them.
Come enjoy some Mediterranean fare (lemonade and water included with your meal), grab a drink from the bar and connect with some of the music industry’s finest creators and professionals.
