    California Copyright Conference Introduces 2021-22 New Officers and Board of Directors

    Hollywood, CA, June 14, 2021: The California Copyright Conference is proud to announce their newly elected Officers and Board of Directors for the upcoming 2021–2022 season.

    The new officers are long-time members of the Board of Directors who have contributed their time and ideas significantly to the CCC. The new President is Mara Kuge (President and Founder, Superior Music Corporation); Vice President is Renee Jeske (Manager, Income Tracking, Disney Music Group); Treasurer is Cheryl Dickerson (Music Industry Consultant); Secretary is Jean Montiel (Music Publishing and Licensing Consultant); and Assistant Secretary is Rene Merideth (Co-Founder and COO, Exploration).

    The following Board Members have been re-elected: Elizabeth Henderson (Senior Manager, Sync Clearance, Warner Chappell); Sherry Orson (Chief Creative Officer, Star Vibe Group); Marrsha Sill (Executive Vice President, Chicago Music Library); and Josh Young (CEO, Atrium Music). Newly elected is Jonathan Lane (Senior Director, Synch & Licensing, 5 Alarm Music; Music & Supervisor, Tapestry Music Services).

    Serving their second Board of Directors terms are: Jane Bushmaker (Director, Royalty Audit & Contract Compliance, Prager Metis CPAs); Reggie Calloway (Director Music Royalty Funding, Sound Royalties); Dana Childs (Music Business and Operations Lead, HiFi Productions); Sabrina Ment (VP, Business and Legal Affairs, Music, Walt Disney Television); Paula Savastano (Senior Director, Copyright and Royalties, Angry Mob Music); Carolyn Soyars (Manager, Copyright Administration, BMG). First alternate is David Streit (Creative Director, BMI) and second alternate is newly-elected Kristina Benson (Founder, Sweet on Top).

    The new officers and board reflect the broad scope of the California Copyright Conference. Along with its music publishing core, they are in synch licensing, music branding, digital imaging, CPA services, funding, and production music libraries. This dynamic group of people is currently crafting a series of new and exciting webinars, in-person meetings and social events to provide the latest updates on the most significant changes in the music industry.

    The California Copyright Conference was established in 1953 for the discussion of copyright-related areas pertaining to music and entertainment with seven founding members. Today, the organization has grown to over 300 members globally from all areas of the music and entertainment industry. The scope of the CCC has broadened to cover all matters pertaining to copyright and music industry issues. Our members include publishers, performing rights societies, songwriters/composers, attorneys, music supervisors, representatives from trade publications, music libraries, motion pictures, television, multimedia, internet, and record companies.
