    John Braheny Scholarship Award

    The California Copyright Conference Scholarship Fund

    The CCC is pleased to offer an annual scholarship award to qualified music industry studies majors living in the greater Los Angeles area. The scholarship was first awarded in 2012. In 2013, the CCC renamed the scholarship in memory of former CCC President, John Braheny.

    Scholarship Requirements:

    • Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited, music industry studies bachelor’s degree program located in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan and surrounding areas.
    • Students must currently be enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior or first-term senior, and must enroll as a full-time student majoring in Music Business/Industry for the next fall school term.
    • Students must be in good standing (e.g., not on suspension or academic probation) at their university and be making the required minimum progress toward a bachelor’s degree.
    • Winner must be able to attend the CCC May meeting (either in-person or via webinar, if we are remote at that time) for the official announcement and award presentation. *Special exceptions to this requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the CCC Scholarship committee.

    Jaya Logani of University of Southern California Thornton School of Music is the 2018 recipient of the John Braheny Scholarship.
